1 Activity To Do

This week identify something that has NOT gone well recently, or you may class as a fear…

Take steps to engage with it.

Identify 3 small strategies that will help you and find an opportunity to embrace this challenge.

Use these strategies. They may be…

Taking time to pause, breathe and collect yourself.

Perhaps just stop and take a drink of water before progressing.

Consider where you give your focus and energy.

Use these or create your own.

Capture how you get on and if you can get closer to the fear or gain a new and positive experience.

(I must give a massive thanks to AS for truly engaging with an experience that has not gone well recently. Using strategies, she has subsequently rebuilt her confidence and been successful. Amazing!

Also, I have faced my fear of heights over the past 2 weeks – regularly!)

1 Question For You

As yourself this question from a work and home perspective this week…

What recurring patterns or themes do I notice in my relationships, and what do they say about me, my needs and behaviors?

How might this be helping or hindering me?

(Thanks to 2 senior leaders who have recently explored their relationship with senior leaders they work for. The insights have been incredible)

.

1 Idea To Consider

This week…

Take time to consider ‘what is normal’.

Normal is a word that can be attributed to so many contexts.

Work, relationships, home life, projects, friendships, holidays,  politics, the world around us, and so on.

Now, Søren Kierkegaard, an existentialist philosopher, suggested that living authentically often means deviating from societal norms.

He argues that individuals should strive to become their true selves, even if it means going against what is considered “normal.”

What are your thoughts? Capture you reflections on how you may now view ‘normal’?

Quote of The Week

We’re always talking about how good the opposition is. What about us? I reckon it’s about time we started talking about how good we are. We’re big; we’re strong, skilled, and fast. Let’s talk about that.”
