1 Activity To Do
Each day this week….
Identify a skill that you use in work or at home and consciously practice it.
Take note of when the skill works well and when it does not go to plan.
How can you improve what you do… and do it!
My first skill I will be conscious of will be the quality and focus of my questions. The quality of your questions determine the quality of the answers you receive….
There is also a saying – Practice makes permanent – so practice (execute) doing your skill well!
1 Question For You
As yourself this question from a work and home perspective this week…
What recurring patterns or themes do I notice in my relationships, and what do they say about me, my needs and behaviors?
How might this be helping or hindering me?
(Thanks to 2 senior leaders who have recently explored their relationship with senior leaders they work for. The insights have been incredible)
.
1 Idea To Consider
This week, consider what winning means to you
When may you come 2nd, 4th or even 7th in what you do and celebrate it as a win.
Who are you competing against? Does it matter?
Is there a time frame by when you can judge if you have won or not….?
It is complex
Take some time to jot down your thoughts and how your view of winning plays out in what you do and how you behave
Listen to all the stories told by the athletes and coaches at the Olympics about what winning means to them
