1 Activity To Do
Each day this week…
Simply do something for YOU that you have not done for a very longtime. Be self-indulgent.
For example – take a walk in a place you haven’t been for a while, read a book for an hour, watch a film you have struggled to find the time for or go out and eat at a place you have always wanted to.
Notice how it feels during and after doing this.
1 Question For You
This week, ask yourself…
What intrinsic values shape the way I give and receive during this festive period?
What are the emotions, intentions, and principles that guide my actions?
How do these values contribute to the meaning I derive from the act of giving, and what insights do they provide into the significance I attach to receiving?
1 Idea To Consider
This week and possibly even this year, consider “the Christmas tree effect,” in relation to your development and effectiveness.
This is inspired by the tendency to acquire more and more ornaments every year, instead of editing out some of the older or less-beloved ones. Instead, we just keep adding more and more until it’s overflowing with decorations/things.
How might the concept of removing things from your life or work, balanced against continually adding, aid your development and effectiveness?
I love the idea of what you have got rid of that will help you.
Capture your thoughts and you record your reflections.
