1 Activity To Do

Each day this week…

Set aside at least 5 minutes to practice taking a deliberate pause and be present.

Whether it’s during a busy workday, before responding to an email, or after a challenging conversation, take a pause.

Intentionally stop, breathe deeply, and take a moment to reflect.

Allow yourself to be fully present and mindful of the situation before you take your next step.

Notice what the benefit of this action is to you and your impact.

1 Question For You

Ask yourself the following question and be aware of the answer…

When I am confronted with someone whose values and beliefs strongly oppose my own, particularly on sensitive issues like racism, immigration, politics etc..

How do my initial reactions and responses reflect my deepest values and beliefs?

Am I acting in a way that aligns with who I want to be, or am I allowing my emotions and biases to take control?

Take notice of your response and ask yourself the following…

How do I see and ‘label’ such interaction?

Take note and become further aware of how you turn up and interact.

.

1 Idea To Consider

It is one of my favorites….

Consider what is an ‘untapped resource’ to you…

Steve Jobs once said, “You can’t connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards.”

This week consider how your past experiences can be the foundation for future success.  Look in places that you may not have looked before.

(Thanks to NP, PS and GD for exploring untapped resources and thr idea of ‘leaving a legacy’ during our coaching conversations recently)
