1 Activity To Do
Every day this week…
Share a part of your personal story in a constructive way, to help somebody learn or develop.
Using storytelling is such a powerful vehicle – use if purposefully and with the intent to help and support the person you are sharing it with.
Notice and reflect on the impact it has.
(Thanks Tony C for exploring with me how your experience and story can be used impactfully – what a treat!)
1 Question For You
How often do you say you have run out of time or don’t have enough time.
Well, Parkinson’s Law is a principle that states:
“Work expands to fill the time available for its completion.”
So ask yourself this week when faced with a task or project…
“How much time do I actually have available to allocate to this task/project”
Reduce it by at least 1/3 and then stick to it.
Log your reflections on the use and effectiveness of your time.
(I was blown away when Emma P shared her positive story of embracing the Parkinson’s Law principles following our previous coaching call – thanks!)
1 Idea To Consider
Plato mentioned…
“The first and greatest victory is to conquer yourself.”
This week, consider that real strength isn’t about avoiding problems but mastering yourself when faced with challenges.
The most significant victory is over your own doubts, fears, and limits, not just external obstacles.
(Thanks to DD for sharing her experience of learning a new language. It really made me think about the process of learning something new and going through the various stages of consciousness and competence. Keep up the great work!)
