1 Activity To Do
Each day this week…
Intentionally introduce a change to your routine.
It could be a different route to work, trying a new recipe, or adjusting your work environment.
Observe your initial reactions and feelings towards the change. Reflect on how you adapted and what you learned about your own flexibility. Capture this in your reflective journal.
1 Question For You
Take this week to ask yourself this question and stay with it…
What underlying beliefs or past experiences may be driving my pursuit of perfection and making it challenging to accept situations as “good enough”?
Reflect on moments in your life or messages you received that may have influenced your current mindset. How might understanding these deeper motivations contribute to a more balanced approach?
(Thanks JT and the group of senior leaders I worked with this week for opening up and exploring your underlying beliefs and experiences)
1 Idea To Consider
Brene Brown argues that the pursuit of perfection is often driven by a fear of being inadequate or unworthy.
She advocates for embracing imperfections and vulnerability as essential components of a fulfilling and wholehearted life.
In her work, she encourages people to let go of unrealistic standards and embrace their authentic selves, fostering a more compassionate and resilient approach to personal growth and connection with others.
What are your thoughts and how does ‘perfection’ play out for you?
